    The Year That Was

In true Channel 7 news room style I thought we would do a bit of a montage of 2009 at Handmade Kids, the posts that made you laugh, the posts that made you cry, and for good measure a story about a rescued cat at the end.

Okay, so making a montage and putting it with elevator music would take me a whole year, so instead, here is a quick refresher course in some of our popular posts of the year, as well as mine and Caz’s favourites.

    MOST POPULAR POST OF 2009

Aside from our competition posts and everyone wanting to find out who we are.  Rockin Robots was one of our most popular posts for the year.

    JEMMA’S FAVOURITE POST OF 2009

My favourite post for the year would have to be Caz’s crazy day post.  How many of us have had days like that?

    CAZ’S FAVOURITE POST OF 2009

I asked Caz to let me know her favourite post of the year and she chose Ode to my Watermelons.  Why?  As she said, she loves it when the man of my house does stupid things (he does them quite often)

THE STORE YOU VISISTED THE MOST

Ollie Rose was the store that our visitors went to the most, with Your Cheeky Monkey coming a very close second.

I was going to list my favourite product or trend of 2009, but that would be an impossible task.  We have had the pleasure over the year of seeing some gorgeous items, meeting some fabulous store owners and all the while having a great time doing it.

I can’t wait to see what 2010 has in store for fantastic products and trends!

Lets raise our champagne glasses to celebrating handmade items :)

Congratulations on such a big year, and thank you for doing so much to encourage and promote small handmade businesses like myself. Monique xx

I would have loved to have seen the obligatory squirrel on a surfboard story … doesn’t every news montage have one of those?

Yes! I’m raising my champagne slushie glass to all our readers and handmade crafters out there.

2010 is going to be great!
