About us
Handmade Kids is dedicated to showcasing the wealth of Australian talent who create items specifically for children and we are always on the lookout for new products to feature.
We are two busy mums who happen to love handmade, and who decided to show the rest of Australia just how good it is. We believe in Handmade Kids and strive to achieve a high level of professionalism.
Handmade Kids has been in operation since August 2008 and has seen strong growth this time. Leaders in promoting handcrafted items for kids in Australia, Handmade Kids has developed a strong following during this time, with nearly 800 readers per day dropping in to see what we are showing.

ADVERTISING OPTIONS
Product Review
We have a team of tiny testers ready and waiting to give your product a whirl.
We will provide an honest and positive review of your product on our site. Whilst our reviews are honest, we will not provide negative feedback on our site. Should a product not be to our standards it will be referred back to the provider.
Products submitted for review are not returned, as in order to test them thoroughly, we like to use them as intended (wash and wear etc).

Fabulous Friday Finds – $5 per find
Test out the waters with a Fabulous Friday Find.
For a mere $5 per find, a product of your choice (or you can leave it up to us), will be featured in a mosaic spread with a link back to your store
Limit of one per fortnight.
Best Friend Sponsorship – $40 per month
If you would like something a little more in depth, a Best Friend Sponsorship may be for you.
For $40 per month, you can choose whether you want to be featured for one month or more. Your store will become Handmade Kids new best friend.
As a sponsor your 150 x 150 banner will appear in our Sponsors section for the month you have sponsored.
You are encouraged to send us any competitions, promotions or new product launches during your sponsorship period and these will receive their own post.
A product from your store will be featured in Fabulous Friday Finds for the month you have sponsored.
Your store will also receive its own “Featured Store” Post with a photographic mosaic of your products, or alternatively you may wish to participate in an interview.
BANNER LISTINGS
Favourite Stores Section – $15 per month
Get noticed on Handmade Kids by purchasing a banner listing.
For just $15 per month your 125 x 125 banner will be displayed in our Favourite Stores advertising section.
Banners are rotated regularly to ensure all stores have top listing.
Sponsorship Banner Listing- $25 per month
Our sponsorship section is our most prominent advertising spot. On the right hand side and in the top listing, it is one of the first places visitors look.
Your 150 x 150 banner will appear in this section and be randomly rotated so all listings appear in the top spot.
Sponsorship Banners are also rotated in the top listing on the right hand side of Handmade Kids.

Newsletter Promotion – $15.00 per newsletter
Our newsletter is sent out monthly and is a quick round up of some of the month’s previous posts. All sponsor banner listings will appear in our newsletter.
We can advertise your specials, sales and competitions in our newsletter with a link to your store.
Our subscriber list is still small brand new, but has been seeing good growth.
Demographics & Statistics
Handmade Kids is aimed at parents, grandparents and people who enjoy creating, purchasing and making handcrafted items for children aged 0-10 yrs!
In order to advertise on Handmade Kids you must meet the following criteria:
- Have an online store selling handmade items (store fronts such as MadeIt, Etsy etc are acceptable)
- support handmade in the form of forums/networks which contain a relevant section
- stock handmade items; or (commercial stores must stock at least 5 brands)
- Be located in Australia or New Zealand
In order to make sure all our advertisers are relevant we check each store to make sure they carry handmade lines.
We reserve the right to allow advertisers as we see best for our site.

Banner Clicks – our top store banner listings receive approx. 220 clicks per month. Lower store banners experience between 40 – 100 clicks per month on average.
Since February 2009 we have had over 100,000+ visitors to our site. In August 2009 our site had a glorious makeover (Ten Years Younger in Ten Days style!) and we feel confident that Handmade Kids is only going to grow even more!

Store of the Moment Section 125 x 125 Max 72 dpi
Files to be jpeg, png or gif format only.
When sending photographs to include, 480 x 640 is a lovely size. Please do not send files larger than 1MB.
Payments: Direct Deposit and Paypal are the only accepted methods of payment. Once payment is received your banner will be uploaded to our site. For features we will give you a date of when you can expect to see your feature.
Monthly banners run for one month from the date it first appears.
