Handmade Kids Tips

Tips & Tools

As you know I spend a lot of my time browsing many stores and also buying  as well. From my experiences I thought I would share with you a few little tips of things you may find useful.  These are things I have encountered whilst purchasing, or whilst wanting to use a great product on the Handmade Kids Blog.

Here is my first tip which I hope you can use:  Photographs.

I can’t stress how important your photographs are. I know not everyone has fancy cameras and editing programs, but work with what you have.

Ask yourself:

– Is your background distracting from your product?

– Is your picture blurry?

– Do you have enough pictures which adequately show your product?

Experiment with your product and different angles to photograph it.  Also experiment with your lighting.    You want a clear picture, so it might not be the best idea to photograph it at night in your lounge room.   Try photographing your product in a group with others like it.  Show the details.

Did you know that I find lots of great products all the time that I cannot use because of the photograph?  It might be the best product in the world, but if the photo is blurry and won’t look good on my blog, then chances are I won’t feature it.

If the photo is not the best you can get, then don’t use it.
