Being a mum and trying to run a handmade business from home I have often felt isolated. I would attend business training events that were pitched at medium size businesses with $50K startup costs, staff and so on. The information just didnt apply to me. I was frustrated!
I desperately wanted to find my people. I wanted to connect with other creatives who thought about business and marketing the same way I did.
So the Artful Business Conference was born.
This event is a two-day virtual conference, dedicated to the creative entrepreneur. It is specifically for designers, makers, crafters, bloggers and writers; you know, those of us who want to build a business around our passion and work we love.
The Artful Business Conference is designed to educate attendees in how to build a more profitable and sustainable business without losing your creative flare or your passion for what you do.
This event is bringing together speakers from across Australia and around the world to provide an event packed with great information and actionable steps to take in your business.
The live-streamed event will host attendees from around the world. Attendees can ask questions to the speakers at the event and interact in real time with the other attendees via the event chat room.
The focus of the event is on both education and community.
The Facebook group allows people to share the journey, both before and after the event. Members help each by encouraging fellow attendees to implement changes, even when they seem scary. The group adds to the learning experience by offering insight into their own business. Many friendships have been built out of last years group and we are excited to now be connecting with 2013 attendees.
