Celebrity Baby Stylin’

Just saying/ Trends

Have you ever seen a picture in a magazine or on the web of a super star baby and wondered where did they get that or where can I find one similar? Well here are a few handmade items that I think fit the bill.

The first is from Rowantree Design. Seen here is Roberta’s amazing Henry Romper being worn by baby Skyler, Rachel Zoe’s bub in the latest issue of Grazia Magazine.

This next gorgeous bub is Zuma, Gwen Stefani’s little man. Here, he is seen sporting a check newsboy cap. My handmade pick is from Mellebug. This is a relatively new line for Bec, and already proving to be very popular.

Little Violet, Jennifer Garner’s little girl, looks pretty in her gorgeous red and white dress and now your little princess can too with this fabulous little number from Mini Mermaid Clothing.

And lastly, Rebecca Gayheart’s little bub, Billie; looking totally adorable in her red hat. My handmade pick is from Dover & Madden. Vicki makes the most delicious vintage inspired baby hats.

You can still shop handmade and look totally gorgeous and super stylin’.

*All celebrity images are from google with the exception of Rowantree Designs Skyler Stylin’, which is from their blog.

Doctor..Doctor

Hand Made Blog/ Make/ Play

Those that follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram would have seen that on Friday my little girl was in hospital. All is good, it was only a simple procedure but scary none the less for any one, let alone a child. I’m so proud of our Little Miss Sunshine, she did so well.

But since coming out of hospital Doctors are all the rage. She loves playing Doctors with her brother and the dolls. So its only fitting that I share this awesome tutorial by one of our Handmade Kids contributors Cinti from My Poppet.

For details on how to make your own Doctor Play Set, head to the My Poppet Blog, where Cinti sets out a step by step tutorial for you.

Pin of the Week

Hand Made Blog/ Make/ pin of the week

This is so easy! As soon as I saw it I knew I had to try it.
Not just a kids activity one that the whole family will get to enjoy.

A canvas, tape and finger paints. What a great idea!

All details can be found here, why not give it a try.

100 Beanie Drive

Featured/ Hand Made Blog

I was surfing Twitter last night, our mate Jess over at Epheriell Designs came up with a great idea. You see her father has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Being winter and also the chemotherapy drugs, play havoc on their bodies being able to keep warm.

Jess noticed a little box at the Royal Brisbane Hospital Day Oncology Unit where people have knitted scarves, mittens and beanies for the cancer patients to take to keep warm. But this box was lacking in the unisex/mens department, so this is where Jess decided to take things into her own hands.

She is asking for people to help her reach her goal of 100 beanies (scarves and mittens). So if you can crochet or knit (or have some preloved in good condition) and would like to help, head to Epheriell Designs blog or click the banner in the sidebar for details on how you can get involved.

I know this is not kid related, but I just couldn’t pass this opportunity to help Jess get the word out. Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way and this is a great way to help without actually donating dollars.
