Three Kittens is named after Cassandra’s three children who were all very tiny at birth, like little kittens. All Three Kittens items are handmade by Cassandra. After receiving many compliments on Cassandra’s sock monkeys about 6 years ago, she began selling them at a local market and it all grew from there. Three Kittens now make clothing and accessories for babies and children as well as sock monkeys. Her clothing range is made with comfort and movement in mind. Three Kittens love to mix vintage styles with modern fabrics and have a slight obsession with Japanese fabrics. Cassandra believes it is extremely important to put a lot of love and positive energy in to clothing or toys that will be passed on to children. Marie’s dad taught her to knit when she was about 7 years old, back then it was a necessity rather than a hobby for her. Socks and jumpers were the order of the day, there were no pretty cables or lace patterns the designs were plain and serviceable. These were the quickest to knit when there were 6 children. Marie continued to knit when it was no longer fashionable to do so, with now people saying “I didn’t know you did that”. Georgi, like many other mothers-to-be, was excited about setting up the nursery for her first pending arrival. After an extensive search for the perfect bed linen, she was disappointed to find mostly mass produced designs or incredibly expensive designer brands. So she created her own and hence grew Pollykinz Designs.
Pollykinz Designs specialise in creating handmade custom made designs, and also stock a range of limited edition in-house designs. Items include Cot Quilts & Sheet Sets, Single Bed designs, Tummy Time Mats, Nap Mats and Cushions. The beauty of Custom Made products is that they are completely unique. Georgi explains “I love working with excited mothers-to-be to create their perfect nursery – it’s a simple and rewarding pleasure to be a part of such a special time”.
