Book Love: The Wonky Donkey

Books we love

All kids love to have books read to them before bedtime, mine included, and this has been the book of choice for a few weeks now. The Wonky Donkey

This book is hilarious not just the story but the illustrations are also. The Wonky Donkey is a real tongue twister for us parents, probably not a good book to read when we are a little sleep deprived though. The illustrations are fantastic and really help to tell the story. My daughter just loves looking at the pictures for ages with this one.

An Apple a Day……

Accessorize/ Featured/ Furnish/ Shopping

Keeps the Dr away? Or so the saying goes.

This week I have had a house full of sick kiddies, with the little guys having Bronchitis. Terrible when they can’t breath and there isn’t much you can do for them. Get well little man.

So I though that seeing as the kids are starting to get on the mend, lets test this theory. An Apple a day…..

Escape to a world of dress ups

Accessorize/ Featured/ Play

There has not been one child I have met over the years that doesn’t love dress ups. I’m sure us grown ups loved dress ups, geez, even now some of us still love to dress up!

When my daughter was born I decided that a dress ups box would live in our house. Filled with all sorts of goodies. Op shop finds, handmade works and odds and ends picked up along the way.

Sadly the op shops around me hardly have anything decent, so we have settled for a handmade wonderland, filled with lots of fun and adventure.

Everything from princesses and doctors, to cowboys and builders, my daughter loves it all. There really is something magical seeing your little one dressed up “in character” using their imaginations in pretend play.

However you decide to fill your dress ups box, whether its full of op shop finds, handmade wonders or odds and ends picked up along the way, I’m sure the kids will love it and get hours of stimulation and enjoyment out of it.

So go on, fill a dress ups box today, you’re kids will love you for it!
