Snailblazer

Challenge

Our next lot of fabulous handcrafted goodies is from Snailblazer. In the Snailblazer MadeIt shop you can find very sweet vintage inspired goodies, and I recommend keeping up with her blog to see what Cassandra has been creating.

How cool is this little unique creation that Cassandra from Snailblazer created?  It is a fabulous game for the kids.  The bag is placed flat to reveal a circle with matching patterns to the small bean bags, and the kids toss and match up.  I am sure it will create hours of fun.

As well as that clever item, Cassandra from Snail Blazer was busy and created some other really nifty items to go with her game such as hair accessories, eye patch and a gorgeous pencil roll that I am sure the mums of boys will love.

Featured Store : Bubba Bling

Featured/ Review

My job at Handmade Kids is not a difficult one – I get to look at lovely products and tell you about it. Easy … or so I thought.

Handmade Kids CEO told me to do a feature on Bubba Bling.  “No probs” I said. ” Just another looky at a website, drool a bit, maybe shop a little and write about it – what could be so hard?”  I said.  How wrong I was!

I challenge any of you to look at Bubba Bling’s website and not be gobsmacked!  It is loaded with gorgeous soft furnishings, kiddy bedroom decorations and lots of other bling for the ankle biters in our lives … and they are all HEAVENLY!

I was going through the site and saving photos to share with you, when I realised that I had over 20 products that I wanted to show!   I also apologise to my friends who I may have over-emailed with links from BB exclaiming things like “Wow! Check this out!”.

So here, check this out!

1.  Have you seen those Tortellini Shell cushions before?  They are perfect for breastfeeding, as well as for helping Bubba to sit up. Wish I had seen them 9 months ago!

2. Wall art abounds!  I love this fairy – she’ll brighten any wee girl’s room!  But what is even more fabulous is that there is a fairy with hair colour (and even style!) so match your little fairy!

3.  Oink Oink! This piggy softie is just one example of the gorgeous handmade toys in BB’s range.

4. There is a vast array of gorgeous handmade cots and bedroom quilts – I love this nautica one!

Now that I’ve gushed and oohed and aahed, go and check out Bubba Bling for yourself – you wont regret it!

Time out for Mum

Mum

Lately life just seems to be getting busier and busier with so much going on and I don’t know about anyone else, but sometimes poor old mum gets neglected in our house.

I went to the shops the other day and had a tiny blowout where I spent some money on myself and had an attack of the guilt’s for buying things I didn’t need I took them back.

Sometimes though we need to treat ourselves, but for now until I am over my guilts, I will have to window shop.  So for something a little different, here are some handmade items I would like to spoil myself with one day.  Though I think the chocolate can be considered a necessary purchase for ones mental health.

1.  Inner Earth Soaps 2.Designs by Danna Carpet Bag

3. Sooooound Print 4.  Harry’s Banana Rocky Road

Poppy Bean & Bloss Winner

giveaway

I have to admit my plan to draw a winner today has been a bit over zealous.  It was such a beautiful day outside I thought it would be more exciting to do something a little different.

So I typed all those names out – a huge task in itself as had to double check I hadn’t forgotten anyone and remembered all those extra entries for blogging, tweeting etc.

Eventually it was all done and I was ready to be creative – a plan was forming – lets get the chickens to draw a winner.

So into a container went all the names and some wheat, with my theory being the chooks will peck out the winner.

Bettina got straight to work and I thought it was going to be an easy task, but alas I needed more chook food to create a pecking frenzy so one would fall out.

Our official judicator kept a close on eye on things to make sure everyone was behaving.  It was a long wait with a few excited moments when the pecking was at an all time frenzy by Berralina and bits of paper were starting to emerge.

Eventually after a good 10 min wait  until something fell out of the container (which was not that pleasant given it was a warm day, the chook pen needs raking and lots of blowies were around).

It was joyus applause all round – we had a winner at last!

Congratulations Stacey!
