Wine Country

Accessorize/ Furnish/ Wear

We have just had a mini break down in the South West of WA.  If you listen to Caz, she will tell you I was busy having spa’s and sipping wine .   Really it was more like skulling wine as it was freezing cold, raining the entire time, and we stayed in a Caravan Park not far from the in-laws – all together not the best ingredients for a holiday!

But it was still very good to get a way and sample the local delights and re-stock the wine shelf.

So in appreciation of the fabulous stuff, here are a few grape delights!

My Handcrafting Paradise

markets

I have been itching to go to  a Perth Upmarket for a while now, and the weekend just gone, finally gave me a chance, when I made our trip down south to coincide with the weekend Perth Upmarket was on, and boy oh boy am I glad I did.

I have to say Justine from Ollie B who put it all together is amazing, it is a fabulous success.

Arriving only a few minutes after opening time, I didn’t have long to browse stalls quickly before they were full to capacity with browsers and you could barely get near them.  I had intended to take some shots, but all I would have got where heads.

It was a fabulous chance for to meet some of my favourite WA designers who of course were all lovely.   I adored Little Babushka’s dresses, as did many other people.  Little Mo & Friends as expected were just as fabulous in real life as was Katy Jane Designs, who I might add I got some gorgeous baby cards from.

Anna Hadwin, Lolly Dandy, Stuff A Duck, Olli B and many many more.

Without a doubt, next year I am sending myself down kid free for a longer browse and shop.

The Mice Will Play …

Accessorize/ Mum/ Play

Following on from yesterday’s diatribe (apologies – was bordering on megalomania!), here are some of the lovely wee micey things that I’ve come across.

Did you know that mice can breed every 21 days?!  Imagine popping out half a dozen babies every three weeks … you’ld be an “octo-mouse-mom” in no time!

While the cat’s away …

Accessorize/ Furnish/ Play/ Wear

The Supreme Ruler of Handmade Kids, my boss, my companion since primary school, the person who introduced me to hypercolour and fluoro earrings, my pal who I would share my last chardy with “ Jemma – has  tootled off on holidays where there are spa baths, grape vines (which will no doubt lead to tasting of grape juice!), and warm spring sunshine.

So that means she has left ME ME ME in complete control of things around here [insert evil maniacal laughter here]!

It has made me think of the old saying ˜while the cat’s away, the mice will play.  So I’ve found us some adorable kitty stuff!

(Tomorrow I’ll show you the awesome mousy things that I’ve found … and the day after that – I might take over the WORLD!!!).

1.  Kitten print skirt from Original Kidz   2.  Cat softie LeahKL
3.  Kitty print by Dudley Redhead   4. Kitten hair elastic Wallflower

Seriously, Jem, I promise to play nicely!
