Clever People Challenge – Beccasauras

Challenge

Today brings us to the very last Clever People Challenge Packs.

This lovely bib has been made by Rebecca of BeccasuarusRebecca is in the process of opening her very own shop on Made It. She has  more items to come soon, so you will have to check in on her blog to keep up to date.

The bib uses all the bits from the Challenge Bag and also contains a pvc cover so you don’t have to worry about all that beautiful fabric being ruined by your messy baby.

The bib is a lovely  generous size and also thick and comfy.  The velcro on the side also means it is easy to get on and off, which is always a bonus when you have a food covered little one to extract from the mess.

Check our Rebecca’s Blog and see her adventurous project to recover a pram :), which is also listed in her Made It store.

Thank you to everyone who particpated in this little project.  Am amazed and overwhelmed at how great they are, every single one is gorgeous and special in it’s own way.

The Mega Handmade Kids Giveaway of all these goodies will begin on 27th June!

From my little challenge Bag, Sara produced this very sweet bag

So  much detailing and time and effort has gone into it as I am sure you can see.

Handmade Kids Tips #2

Mum

My next installment in Handmade Kids Tips is customer service.

Customer service, customer service,  customer service!   I can’t emphasise it enough.

Good customer service speaks volumes.  I am always amazed when I shop online at just how many businesses don’t offer this.  It is frustrating as a customer when you don’t know what is going on, speaking from experience :).

The successful WAHM businesses out there I can pretty much guarantee offer good customer service.  Mums will always recommend stores and products to other mums.  Give them a great customer experience and they will tell their friends and they will be your repeat customers.

Some little things you can do to give good customer service are:

  • Make sure you confirm when an order is received.
  • When you send out an order let them know it is on their way and how long they can expect it to take.
  • Make sure you respond to email queries in a timely manner.
  • Have your contact details on your website, make sure it includes a telephone number so if someone needs to they can get in contact with you quickly.
  • If there is an issue with an order, you can’t fill it, something is not quite right,  always let your customer know immediately.  There is nothing worse than waiting days for an order to arrive to discover it hasn’t cause it was out of stock, but no one bothered to tell you.

And today’s tip is brought to you by a frustrated shopper who has just encountered all of that and just wants her order 🙁

Clever People Challenge – Little Diva

Challenge

My first handmade challenge package has been received back and I am very excited.

Christine from Little Diva was one of the lovely people who took me up on the Handmade Kids Clever People Challenge.  With the few bits of fabric and ribbon sent to her she created this marvelous one off Betsy-Lou doll.

She is beautifully made and is wearing one of Little Diva’s signature Diva Dresses.  The attention to detail and care on this little doll is delightful and I am going to have a very hard time parting with her in a giveaway.

Stay tuned for our next entry and also the mega giveaway of all these creations at the end of the month.
