When you are a Mum you are subjected to all sorts of games, from Mums and Dads where you have to be the baby (and that is not so bad, I quite enjoy laying on the floor crying), to hours and hours and hours of endless car games (Mums of boys can sympathise with me on this one).
Today I am required to play shops. Which wouldnt be so bad if we used real money. Certainly no customer service complaints from me. When I asked for my apples and handed over my money (packing noodles is our currency), I got my apples, plus my money and then all the money in the till. We do have a problem when I am required to eat said apples I just brought (apples are also packing noodles).
If our shop was full of these goodies, I can imagine playing games would be so much more fun. How can one resist such colourful, totally delicious food items on their shelves?

Pre-boyfriend days, which were also pre-children days, I lived alone and got a cat (you can see where this is going can’t you). His name was Lister, appropriately named after one of my favourite shows Red Dwarf. If I am honest his name was really Ivanvodkavladmirgetyourknickersoff, or something vaguely similar. He was named over a few wines (okay it was prob ably more than a few) with Caz. The cat being a blue russian sort of cat.
Lister was adopted as his previous owner felt he was a bit strange for her, apparently jumping in her fridge and settling on a shelf to stay put, was not normal for her – he was perfect for me.
Adopting Lister started the jokes of becoming an old cat lady. I lived in a very ram shackle old house, I had a cat I adored, I was single and I had to chop wood with an axe to get hot water. I am not lying, I had many a cold shower from a night out cause a few wines and an axe are not a great mix. My cold house meant I wore cardies and socks and shuffled around.
On particularly bad Mum days I look back and think, why did I not take the cat lady route? Cats don’t answer back, cats don’t have tantrums, and if they do you can stick them outside and leave them to it without fear of a DOCS arriving on your doorstep. If I was a cat lady with my 12 cats, i would need cat accessories of course and here are some I feel would be great

Being a busy mum to two busy little munchkins, my life, like that of most mums is often filled with chaos and mayhem. I spend a lot of my ˜down time searching high and low for new, and different goodies that will allow their imaginations to run wild.
A little while ago, I came across the most exquisite dollies from Cuckoo For Coco. I could just see the excitement in the eyes of my children. These delightful dollies are creatively called ˜Coco, ˜Willow, and ˜Poppy Doll.
As Shannon, designer and owner of Cuckoo For Coco, told me œmaking the dolls was a complete experiment as I had no pattern making experience at that stage.¦.I just decided to give it a go. I’m sure many are so glad she did as her gorgeous creations have turned out to be very popular little ladies.
Each Cuckoo for Coco doll is made from 100% original and hand drawn patterns. Their face details are also hand stitched with love. Shannon uses mostly designer and vintage fabrics to bring these whimsical dolls to life. Each divine little doll has its own little personality, which I’m sure will bring hours of fun and imaginative play to many homes.
My personal favourite is Willow. A sense of shyness and intrigue surrounds her, yet her nature is both calm and soothing.
All dollies are hand made in Australia, which makes these treasures even more special.
We wait in anticipation as Shannon is also planning an addition to the family, with her next creation to be released within the next month or two.
They would make a beautiful addition to any childs play time or a treasured gift for someone special.
Take a look at the hip little webstore or visit Shannon on Facebook to order one of these unique dollies.
