Crochet Madness

Furnish/ Play

Somehow I have volunteered to be on our school fetes craft committee.  I am not sure why, as I am not overly crafty.  I have attempted some hair clips which I glued ribbon to and the rest of the time I eat all the food and drink all the tea.  Anyway, one of the clever ladies their knits and crochets and makes fabulous items.  Once I was envious and tried to teach myself to crochet – it did not go well.

So many fabulous crochet items out there, if only Grandma was still here I could put her to work making cool things like these.

1.    Cute Critters 2.    Tidabellamonkey 3.    Rosieok 4.   Butterfly Garden

It’s Dress-Up Time!

Play/ Wear

Much to my sister’s dismay, my soon to be four year old niece wants a Princess Party, rather than a Pirate Party for her upcoming celebrations.

I’m sure she will get over it – but don’t you just love seeing kids dressed up – especially when at the shops and you spy a Spiderman in the trolley getting the groceries with his mum; or a Snow White coming out of the dentist’s surgery.

Whether pirate, princess or piccolo player (struggling with “P” words today!) there are some beautiful Aussie handmade outfits out there for our little ones.

1. Look at that beautiful Indian Squaw from Dressup Kids.

2. The Accountant look from Ollie Rose (… perhaps some kid MIGHT want to dress up as an accountant? Maybe?)

3. Luckily Tutus & Muddy Shoes have a Superhero to save the world!

4. Breathtaking! Beautiful ballerina from Couturetutus.

Dressing up is FUN! We should all dress up more often!

Call for Participants – Clever People Challenge

Challenge

We are ready to rock and roll with our next Clever People Challenge, so here is the official call for participants.

If you would like to take part and create something from our little challenge packs, leave a comment on this post.  I only have 6 packs available, so challengers will be drawn at random.

There are no scary rules, you can use one item, you can use them all, you can make anything at all you want, make your signature item, give something new a whirl, as long as it is for kids.

You have all of September to complete your mission and return it to us for a mega giveaway.

Good luck and may the force be with you – sorry been watching Star Wars!

Fabric has been kindly donated by Fresh Fabrics.
