Nap Mat from Pollykinz

My new favourite thing – Nap Mat from Pollykinz!

Furnish/ Play

Earlier this year during the Handmade Kids & Rudy & the Dodo Qld flood appeal auction, I was the very happy winning bidder of a gorgeous Pollykinz Designs nap mat.

I have been a fan of Pollykinz Designs beautiful handmade baby and children’s linen for a long time now and I’m so happy to now have a piece of my own! Georgi (of Pollykinz fame) took the “couldn’t do enough to help me” customer service role and I took the “indecisive customer” role. She kept in contact with me and offered helpful suggestions on picking colours for my wee man’s nap mat. It was a lovely experience!

Then my nap mat arrived in the mail; beautifully wrapped and with a personal note from Georgi – I was thrilled!

Here are some photos of the nap mat (the two on the left hand side are photos of the one that Georgi made for me) and you can have a look yourself here or on Pollykinz’s Facebook page.

The nap mat is actually yet to be used for “napping” as my two year old refuses to sleep anywhere other than his bed, however, we have used it countless time over the past few months to just have ‘rest’ time on! It has been priceless.

A few weeks ago we went to lovely Guilderton for a long weekend away with friends and it was used during quiet time (ie. mum and dad lie down with a slight hangover whilst kid watches Nemo for the 10,000th time).  We popped the nap mat on the floor, turned on the DVD player and all was happy. It is certainly a happy place and he seems to know that when he sits on there it is time for quiet which is a blessing!

What I especially love about the nap mat is that when it is rolled up, it is loose enough so that you can fold up into it a pair of pj’s, a teddy bear, some nappies – whatever one might need for a sleep over at Granma’s. And when it needs a wash, you just plonk it in the washing machine. Super duper easy – that suits me just great!

Thanks Georgi for a great experience and for donating such a lovely prize to the worthy cause.
