Poppy Bean & Bloss Winner

giveaway

I have to admit my plan to draw a winner today has been a bit over zealous.  It was such a beautiful day outside I thought it would be more exciting to do something a little different.

So I typed all those names out – a huge task in itself as had to double check I hadn’t forgotten anyone and remembered all those extra entries for blogging, tweeting etc.

Eventually it was all done and I was ready to be creative – a plan was forming – lets get the chickens to draw a winner.

So into a container went all the names and some wheat, with my theory being the chooks will peck out the winner.

Bettina got straight to work and I thought it was going to be an easy task, but alas I needed more chook food to create a pecking frenzy so one would fall out.

Our official judicator kept a close on eye on things to make sure everyone was behaving.  It was a long wait with a few excited moments when the pecking was at an all time frenzy by Berralina and bits of paper were starting to emerge.

Eventually after a good 10 min wait  until something fell out of the container (which was not that pleasant given it was a warm day, the chook pen needs raking and lots of blowies were around).

It was joyus applause all round – we had a winner at last!

Congratulations Stacey!

Oh this is THE best way I’ve seen so far of choosing! If I had chooks I would make all my decisions like this.
